This is primarily about private land intended for commercial agricultural production, farming, personal peasant farming, horticulture, etc.
“Private agricultural land for personal farming, horticulture, etc. was never under moratorium, so it was sold like any other private property even before the land market was opened. Since July 1, 2021, 2,634 transactions for the purchase and sale of private agricultural land covering an area of 2.44 thousand hectares have been concluded in Lviv Region. The average cost of 1 hectare of such land is UAH 500.5 thousand,” comments Tetyana Hetman, director of the department of agro-industrial development of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
As for the former moratorium lands, 842 shares with a total area of 1.12 thousand hectares were sold in the region from July 1, 2021. And since the full-scale war, more than 360 hectares have been sold. Moreover, the average cost of 1 hectare of share is UAH 75.82 thousand – the highest indicator in Ukraine after Kyiv Oblast.
Regions with the most active land market during the war (in terms of the number of transactions and the area of shares for which purchase and sale deeds were registered): Kharkiv region (25.98 thousand ha), Kherson region (14.42 thousand ha) and Dnipropetrovsk region (14.36 thousand ha).
