On 23 February, the Drohobych City Territorial Community completed the 2nd stage of basketball competitions among students of general secondary education institutions within the framework of the “Side by Side All-Ukrainian School Leagues” project.
Last year, a pilot project “School Sports Leagues of the Drohobych Territorial Community” was launched in our community under the slogan “We Choose Sports”, consisting of 4 sports, including basketball.
This year, the Drohobych community joined the all-Ukrainian project “Side by Side School Leagues”, where high school students compete for the right to continue to compete in the next stages of the competition and win at the national level.
These days, the final stage of the basketball competition among boys and girls took place in the spacious hall of the Children’s and Youth Sports School.
The winners of the project “Side by Side All-Ukrainian School Leagues” among boys were the team of Lyceum No. 1 named after Ivan Franko, and among girls – the team of Lyceum No. 2. These teams will continue to compete in the all-Ukrainian project at district competitions, and then regional ones.
