In the Lviv region, queues at checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border have significantly reduced. Border guards report no accumulation of vehicles either entering or exiting Ukraine.
Over two days, December 24 and 25, 61,770 citizens and 9,633 vehicles were processed. Statistics indicate that more people are entering Ukraine than leaving.
During the pre-Christmas period, passenger traffic increased by 25%, leading to temporary congestion at border checkpoints in the Lviv region.
However, it is anticipated that traffic may rise again before the New Year holidays. To ensure smooth operation of border checkpoints, the border service has increased staffing levels.
