Fire in Sambir District: Woman Injured While Extinguishing Dry Grass
On February 21 at 12:58, rescuers received a report of a dry grass fire in the village of Strilbychi, Sambir District.
Incident Details
Upon arrival, firefighters found dry grass and shrubs burning separately near a residential house over an area of 30 sq.m. Medics were also examining an injured woman near the house.
It was found that a woman born in 1957 attempted to extinguish the fire, resulting in burns. After examination, the injured woman was hospitalized in serious condition to the 8th City Clinical Hospital of Lviv.
Rescuers’ Response
By 13:11, firefighters had localized the fire, and by 13:13, it was extinguished. The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region urges all citizens to stop burning dry grass.
