The musicians of the Lviv Symphony Orchestra “INSO-Lviv” will close the annual jazz festival in Germany

At the concert, artists from the stage will be able to convey the truth about the war to a large audience, and call to continue supporting Ukraine.

In August, at the annual German jazz festival “Cologne Jazz Week”, which will be held in Cologne, this year the Lviv Academic Symphony Orchestra “INSO-Lviv” will perform together with the internationally known Ukrainian jazz performer Tamara Lukashova.

During the musical journey, listeners will hear Ukrainian folk songs arranged by Tamara, as well as new compositions written and dedicated to military events in Ukraine. This performance is a musical front where, thanks to music and vocals, artists will be able to convey the pain that Ukrainians have been experiencing for more than 5 months.

“INSO-Lviv” will transfer 8,000 euros after the performance for the needs of the Armed Forces. Also, the conductor of the orchestra, Yaroslav Shemet, transfers the entire fee to the needs of the military.

“For our victory to come closer, everyone must work on their own front. We are responsible for cultural! A very honorable and responsible mission at the festival is to show through music the entire tragedy of this brutal war. Also, a real surprise for us was the offer from the organizers – to close this year’s festival. It is a great honor for all of us!” – says soloist Tamara Lukashova.

“INSO-Lviv” (International Symphony Orchestra) is truly one of the best exponents of the fact that the Ukrainian cultural product is worthy of global export, and this is confirmed year after year by its cooperation with world-famous musicians and conductors.
