In Lviv, the works of the artist SREDA, painted during air raids, will be exhibited

Gallery “HotArtHol” continues the project “Ukraine after 24.02” with an exhibition of oscillography Ukraine Oscyloscope. Within the framework of the exhibition, 25 works will be presented, in which the SREDA artist reflects on the topic of the war in Ukraine through the prism of personal experience.

SREDA started working on the exhibition on April 18, hiding in the bathroom from the first sirens in his hometown – Chernivtsi. Having taken a folder of watercolor paper and a thick permanent marker with him to the storage room, in the semi-darkness, without any sketches and without a single thought in his head, the artist began to paint. Twenty-five works appeared in a month.

The paintings depict emotions and scenes with people who protect us every day: military, volunteers, or people from the sewing workshop who sew body armor on the street. Heroes of the Maidan in Chernivtsi…

In addition to the emotional side of the subjects, the exhibition has a conceptual component related to the study of the new style in which it is painted. This style is called “Oscillography” and this name is connected with the contour, coordinate nature of the stylization of drawings.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on August 18 at 6:00 p.m. in the “HotArtHall” gallery (1 Kushevycha St.). The exhibition will last until September 8.
