Lviv Region will launch a pilot project to install mobile generation facilities to enhance energy security. This initiative, undertaken in collaboration with the international company Marsh, aims to provide the region with 100 MW of emergency generation, which will operate independently in the event of network attacks.
As Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Administration, reported during the presentation, a memorandum of cooperation was signed. The project involves the creation of a complex of 100 mobile energy units in container form, each with a capacity of 1 MW. This solution will help ensure uninterrupted power supply for the reliable operation of hospitals, schools, and critical infrastructure facilities in all 73 communities of the region.
Kozytskyi emphasised that this initiative allows communities to receive the necessary resources where they are most needed. The project’s success could serve as a model for expansion to other regions of Ukraine.
