As of May 31, 2025, more than 78,000 residents of the Lviv region are in debt for natural gas distribution services provided by the regional branch of “Gazmerezhi.” The total amount owed by households has reached 43.6 million UAH.
Experts emphasize that timely payments are crucial for maintaining the uninterrupted operation of the gas supply system, as the collected funds go toward equipment maintenance, repairs, and infrastructure upgrades.
According to the company, the gas distribution tariff includes:
-
costs of materials (electricity, fuel, repair parts);
-
salaries for skilled personnel who ensure daily operations;
-
amortization expenses for updating equipment;
-
investments in infrastructure and technology;
-
taxes, meter servicing, insurance contributions, and emergency reserves.
The company also highlights that timely payments support not only the region but the entire country. Emergency teams from Lviv have repeatedly assisted colleagues in front-line areas affected by shelling. Every paid bill contributes to the nation’s energy resilience and reflects solidarity.
Consumers are reminded they can conveniently pay through the Viber bot at viber.com/grmulviv.
It’s also important to note that the Ukrainian government lifted the moratorium on gas disconnection. According to Cabinet Resolution No. 1405 from December 29, 2023, providers are legally allowed to cut off gas supply for non-payment.
All consumers connected to the gas grid must pay for the distribution service—even if they do not use gas. The only way to stop charges is to officially disconnect from the system.
