On the night of March 29, a hacker attack on the electronic ticket system in Lviv was recorded. The crime report has already been sent to the cyber police. Mykola Vlasyuk, the head of the “Lvivavtodor” LKP, announced this.
“The day before, our specialists recorded suspicious activity in the system. ASOP software databases became the target of a hacker attack. As a result, the services of printing personalized LeoCards, purchasing, topping up transport cards and checking the balance are temporarily unavailable,” says Mykola Vlasyuk.
Currently, bank card and LeoCard validation is taking place as usual. However, there is a delay in the debiting of fares starting from March 28.
Security specialists and engineers work to solve the problem: assess the consequences, and jointly restore the full operation of the system.
To establish the circumstances, all the necessary information was transferred to the cybercrime countermeasures unit of the law enforcement agencies.
We apologize for the temporary inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. We will inform you about the further situation in the near future.
