Under the procedural supervision of the Drohobych District Prosecutor’s Office, a 50-year-old woman was exposed and served a notice of suspicion of murder (Part 1 Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the murder took place in a village in Drohobych district, in a house where the suspect lived with a 50-year-old man.
During the conflict, the woman took a frying pan and hit her partner in the head with it. After that, intending to take her husband’s life, she took a hammer and struck the victim repeatedly on the head.
The man died at the scene from his injuries.
After the murder, the woman dragged the victim’s body out of the yard and cleaned up the house where the murder took place.
The body was found by fellow villagers and reported to the police.
The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.
The investigative actions are ongoing. The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Drohobych District Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.
Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person shall be presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
