The traffic accident occurred on October 26, around 1:50 p.m., on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Pasyky-Zubrytskyi, Lviv district. As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a Chery car driven by a 27-year-old resident of the Zakarpattia region and an unidentified truck driven by an unknown driver who left the scene after the accident.
As a result of the accident, the passenger of the passenger car, a 36-year-old resident of Zakarpattia region, received bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
According to the fact, investigators of police department No. 3 of Lviv district police department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty stipulated by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
A complex of operational and search measures is being conducted, law enforcement officers are establishing the identity of the driver and the location of the truck.
A pre-trial investigation is underway.
