It was established that the driver was in a state of alcohol intoxication.
The traffic accident happened on October 29, around 7:10 p.m., in the village of Verkhne Vysotske, Sambir district.
As previously established by law enforcement officers, the driver of the “Zubr” motoblock, a 36-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district, while transporting two passengers on a trailer, lost control, drove off the roadway and fell into a ditch.
As a result of the accident, the passenger of the trailer, a 60-year-old local resident, was injured and hospitalized.
It was established that the driver of the motoblock was driving the vehicle in a state of alcohol intoxication – 1.73 ppm was found in his blood.
According to the fact, the investigators of police department No. 2 of the Sambir district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286-1 (Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of three to five years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
