Measures are being taken to return the building to community ownership.
As the operatives of the Strategic Investigations Department in Lviv Oblast and the investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 established, while in the position of the head of the district administration of the Lviv City Council, the official unjustifiably issued an order and subsequently signed a certificate for the object.
On the basis of these documents, the ownership of the House of Scientists, located in the historical part of Lviv, was registered to another organization. As a result of such actions, real estate was illegally expropriated from communal property, and losses of almost UAH 12 million were caused to the city community.
Having collected sufficient evidence of the exhibitor’s involvement in illegal activities during the investigation, he was informed of the suspicion. The former head of the RDA is accused of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 2 of Art. 367 (official negligence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As part of the criminal proceedings, the property was seized. Measures are being taken to return the building to community ownership.
Procedural management is carried out by the Galicia District Prosecutor’s Office of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
