Over 13 hectares of Bryukhovychi forest are planned for development as cottages, which has prompted a reaction from the prosecution. Prosecutors from the Halytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office in Lviv are demanding in court the annulment of the urban planning conditions and restrictions on development approved by the executive committee of Bryukhovychi Village Council, as well as the permit for construction work issued by the State Inspection of Architecture and Urban Development of Ukraine.
This concerns a plot of land in communal ownership covering more than 13 hectares in Bryukhovychi. Last year, the developer received permission to construct a complex of holiday buildings and a transformer station. However, according to Bryukhovychi’s master plan, this area is designated for public green spaces and recreational facilities.
The construction of cottages violates the land’s designated purpose, threatening to destroy green spaces, which is contrary to the interests of the village residents. These circumstances have led the prosecutors to file a lawsuit seeking to revoke the permits.
