The year 2024 has brought with it extremely worrisome statistics regarding road traffic accidents in the Lviv region. A total of 2307 accidents were recorded, in which 3026 individuals were injured, and 254 people lost their lives.
An overview of the main causes leading to the aforementioned number of accidents reveals discouraging trends:
– 32% of incidents were due to exceeding safe speed limits;
– 20% of accidents occurred due to violations of maneuvering rules;
– 10% of accidents were caused by failure to maintain a safe distance.
These figures serve as a bitter reminder that road safety depends on each of us. It is essential to pay attention to following traffic rules and to be mutually cautious and responsible.
