The traffic accident occurred on October 11, around 6:30 p.m., on the Zhydachiv-Rohatyn highway in Khodorov.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Volkswagen Golf car, a 38-year-old local woman, hit a pedestrian, a nine-year-old local woman.
As a result of the accident, the girl was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, investigators of police department No. 1 of the Stryi district police department opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The maximum penalty stipulated by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
