In Lviv, an intruder will be tried, who five times gave false reports about the mining of various objects
The accused was exposed by the employees of the Office for Combating Cybercrimes in the Lviv region together with operatives of the criminal police and investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Lviv district police department No. 2, under the procedural guidance of the Frankiv district prosecutor’s office.
As the law enforcement officers established, on December 12 and 17, a 17-year-old resident of Lviv reported the bombing of two different Lviv shopping and entertainment centers, on December 18 – about the preparation of an explosion at the Main Railway Station in Lviv, on December 19 – about the bombing of one of Lviv’s universities, and on December 22 December – schools.
The law enforcement officers responded to each such report – explosives specialists, investigative and operational teams and employees of other police services of the Lviv region worked at the indicated addresses, inspections and evacuations were carried out, and the work of institutions was stopped.
The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings opened under part 1 part 2 of article 259 (Knownly false notification of a threat to the safety of citizens, destruction or damage to property) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, completed. The indictments have been referred to the court. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of four to eight years.
