The perpetrator, a 39-year-old local resident, was exposed by the district police officer together with investigators and employees of other units of the Stryi district police department.
Law enforcement officers detained the intruder on October 6 in one of the Stryky parks. He had with him 55 rolls of a crystalline substance similar to the psychotropic substance “PVP”, photos of the area with geolocation and a spatula that he used to make “bookmarks”.
In addition, on the territory of the park, the police found 23 “bookmarks” that the detainee had made earlier. Everything removed is directed to expert research.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police under the procedural leadership of the Stryi district prosecutor’s office opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, forwarding or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of six to ten years with confiscation of property.
