Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Stryi district prosecutor’s office, an indictment was sent to the court against a 40-year-old resident of the city of Lviv for intentional homicide and abuse of the body of the deceased (part 1 of article 115, part 1 of article 297 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the accused killed a 50-year-old resident of Lviv Oblast in August of this year in the city of Morshyn.
So, while drinking alcohol, a conflict arose between a man and a woman, which turned into a fight. During the fight, the defendant inflicted numerous blows on the victim’s head and body. As a result of her injuries, the latter died on the spot.
After the murder, in order to hide the traces of the crime, the accused dismembered the woman’s corpse in the bathroom of the apartment.
Currently, at the request of the prosecutor, the man is in custody.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the Stryi district police department of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
