The funds will be directed to the defense forces, as well as to measures that will help emergency services respond quickly to emergencies, should they arise.
Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv OVA, signed the changes to the regional budget. Among the key ones, funding for the “Safe Lviv Region” program was increased by 131 million hryvnias.
“These funds will be directed to our defense forces, as well as to measures that will help emergency services respond quickly to emergency situations, should they arise.
The changes took into account the proposals of the deputy corps of the regional council regarding the allocation of 40 million hryvnias for drones for our military. In addition, funds were allocated for air defense forces and law enforcement agencies – to counter terrorism and to take care of cyber security in the Lviv region,” explained the head of the region.
Thus, since the beginning of the year, more than 270 million hryvnias have been allocated from the regional budget to support the security sector.
“This money is our responsibility to those who oppose the enemy,” Maksym Kozytsky emphasized.
