The 13th Newfolk International Oil and Gas Conference has begun its work in Lviv Region, bringing together representatives of the oil and gas sector from Ukraine and other countries. This was reported by the Lviv Regional State Administration.
The event is attended by more than 250 participants – the largest production and service companies, representatives of state bodies, international partners, as well as researchers and educators.
The conference participants were welcomed by the Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi. He stressed that this is currently the only platform of this scale in Ukraine where issues of production under wartime conditions are comprehensively discussed – from modern drilling, hydraulic fracturing and geophysics technologies to investment, international cooperation, ESG approaches, the energy transition and the training of specialists for the new Ukrainian energy sector.
“Technologies that are transforming the defence sector are likewise transforming the energy sector. Ukraine has strong scientific and industrial potential. And our task is to turn this into a competitive advantage for our state,” noted Maksym Kozytskyi.
According to the information announced at the opening of the conference, the aim of the discussions is to strengthen Ukraine’s energy resilience, develop domestic production and deepen international partnership in the energy sector.
