Support in European integration and assistance of the Superhumans Center: the leaders of the Nestlé company in Europe are visiting Lviv Oblast

The company’s management continues to support Ukraine in the war against Russia

Today, May 3, the head of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi met with the executive vice president of the Nestlé company in Europe Marco Settembre and the general director of Nestlé in Ukraine and Southeast Europe Alessandro Zanelli.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current situation in the Lviv region during the war – in particular, mobilization processes, the morale of the region’s residents, the development of the economy, and the expectation of further developments in connection with a full-scale invasion.

As Maksym Kozytsky noted, despite the fact that there are no active hostilities in Lviv Oblast, residents of the region, who are all Ukrainians, are suffering as a result of the war.

“Thousands of mobilized people from Lviv Oblast are now fighting at the front, there are mobilized people in almost every family. There is now stable psychological tension in society, because defenders die every day. However, even though the enemy has a great advantage in material resources, he cannot defeat us in the belief in victory and motivation to win. We are grateful to Europe and all the countries that support us and do everything possible for our victory,” the head of Lviv Oblast emphasized.

For his part, Marco Settembre assured that the Nestlé company will comprehensively protect Ukraine’s integration into European society, because Ukraine, without a doubt, is a European state.

“We undertake to help Ukraine speed up its integration with the European Union,” Marko Settembre emphasized.

It should be added that earlier the company’s representatives visited the prosthetics and rehabilitation center Superhumans Center, which was recently opened on the basis of one of the region’s medical institutions.

During the meeting, Nestlé representatives confirmed their intentions to support the development of the Center, in particular, by arranging sterilization facilities.

How the company supports Ukraine:

During 2022, Nestlé donated more than 4,200 tons of food or 160 million portions of food worth more than 13 million Swiss francs as humanitarian aid to Ukrainians inside the country and refugees abroad. A significant part of this aid was provided to people who found shelter in Lviv and the region.

Nestlé condemns Russia’s brutal military invasion of Ukraine, which resulted in terrible human losses and suffering. During the war, the company stopped the production and sale of most products in Russia, with the exception of baby and special food.
