Lviv is continuing preparations for the new heating season: the city is completing hydraulic testing of its heating networks, and hot water is already being supplied to 1,045 residential buildings. This was reported by Lvivteploenergo municipal heating utility.
According to the company, after hydraulic testing, hot water supply has been restored to buildings in the Halytskyi, Lychakivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts, the entire Sykhivskyi district, and approximately 85% of the Frankivskyi district.
Lvivteploenergo notes that by 1 July it plans to supply hot water to a further 43 buildings in the Frankivskyi district and to 41 buildings in the Novyi Lviv neighbourhood. At the same time, from 30 June hot water is to be restored for residents of the Zaliznychnyi district and the Riasne neighbourhood, where hydraulic testing began on 16 June.
The annual hydraulic testing of heating networks in Lviv began this year on 11 May. Initially, it was planned to complete the inspection of the networks, eliminate the identified defects and fully restore hot water supply in June, but a significant part of the work was carried out earlier, so hot water returned to many buildings as early as May.
Since 16 June, pressure and reliability testing of pipelines has been under way in Lviv’s Zaliznychnyi district and the Riasne neighbourhood. Once this work is completed, hot water supply is to be gradually restored for the remaining consumers.
