A meeting of the regional Commission on providing housing for orphans, children without parental care and persons from their number in the Lviv region took place. The members of the commission considered 6 proposals from the executive committees of communities.
Zhovkivska, Novoyavorivska, Boryslavska, Brodivska and Turkivska city councils, Biskovytska village council submitted their proposals to Lviv OVA.
All apartments will be co-financed from the regional budget and at the expense of territorial communities. The total cost of six residential buildings is 3 million 786 thousand hryvnias.
Separately, the members of the commission submitted for consideration a proposal from the Bibra City Council for the purchase of two apartments. After the executive committee adds a package of necessary documents to the Children’s Service, the proposal will be submitted for final consideration by the commission. The price of an apartment in Bibrka is 784,000, in Sosnivka – 210,000. Co-financing of both apartments from the regional budget is 680 thousand hryvnias.
Ivan Sobko, the profile deputy head of the Lviv OVA, emphasized during the commission that before presenting a proposal for housing objects to the commission, the leaders of the relevant community must personally inspect the condition of the object and provide their opinion.
“We choose housing specifically for children, and it is our duty to make it as comfortable as possible for them. We have been waiting for a long time for changes to be made to Cabinet Resolution No. 590, which would allow us to finance the purchase of housing for orphans and children deprived of parental care during wartime. At the request of the head of the Lviv OVA, these changes were made, and today we are holding another meeting of the commission. Since the beginning of the year, within the framework of the regional program, funds have been allocated for the purchase of 8 apartments. There are still funds for co-financing in the regional budget, so we call on communities to submit their proposals for consideration by the commission,” said Ivan Sobko, deputy head of the Lviv OVA.
The apartments will be purchased within the framework of the Regional Program for providing housing for orphans, children deprived of parental care, and persons from their number. For 2023, 9 million hryvnias have been earmarked for the implementation of the program.
