Thanks to cooperation with UNDP, two innovative projects were implemented in Stryi Oblast

The initiatives were successfully implemented within the framework of the project “Strengthening the resilience of communities in the regions of Ukraine”.

Within the framework of the project “Strengthening the resilience of communities in the regions of Ukraine” and the digital development department of the Lviv OVA together with the United Nations Development Program with funding from the Government of Great Britain improved access to administrative services in the Mykolaiv territorial community and helped in the creation of a modern library center in New Rozdol.

The goal of this initiative is for citizens to be able to receive the most common administrative services on the ground (for example, registration of the place of residence or obtaining an extract from the register of the territorial community, services for compensating costs for the temporary accommodation of IDPs).

TsNAPy and remote workplaces of the Mykolaiv Territorial Community received:

contactless readers (writers) of ID cards,
10 multifunctional devices A4 b/w Xerox B225,
computers and laptops.

As a result, they were able to provide the elders-administrators of the VRM with comfortable conditions for providing services, and citizens with convenient access to quality services, which made it easier for the elderly, large families and IDPs to receive services.

Also, the “Bibliohub” was opened in the city’s central library in Novy Rozdol, Stryi district, an innovative space where everyone can use free Wi-Fi, video communication and work at a computer.

“Bibliohub” is a free service that is useful both in professional activities and in everyday life. It can be used for online learning, preparation for national multi-subject tests, doctor’s appointments and online ticket purchases. In addition, teachers can conduct remote lessons, and children can listen to lectures and master classes when the teacher is behind the screen.

The youth section of the library, which used to be exclusively a place for books, turned into an information center, where 8 workstations were equipped with laptops and a multifunction printer. Now residents will be able to easily and affordably acquire knowledge, develop new skills, regardless of their age, gender or occupation. This is especially relevant for those who, due to military events, are forced to stay far from their native walls today, in particular for IDPs.

“Innovation is not only new technologies, but also new opportunities for a better life and learning, which become available thanks to joint efforts and openness to change,” – noted in the office of digital development.
