In Chervonohrad Oblast, four sisters and a brother were united in one foster family

In total, 136 children are raised in foster families in Lviv Oblast.

In Radekhivska Territorial Community of Chervonograd District, a child deprived of parental care, who studied and lived in an institutional care facility, was placed in a functioning foster family.

In this foster family, which was created in September 2023, two sisters and a brother of the adopted girl were already being raised. Therefore, the placement of the child made it possible to unite the sisters and brother, and from now on the children live together.

We will remind you that a foster family is a family that voluntarily took in one to four orphans and children deprived of parental care for upbringing and cohabitation.

“In total, there are 44 family-type orphanages in the region, in which 300 orphans and children deprived of parental care are raised, as well as 74 foster families, in which 136 orphans and children deprived of parental care are raised.

The state ensures the priority of family education and creates conditions for their development, providing material and social support to families that take in orphans and children deprived of parental care,” said Volodymyr Lys, head of the Children’s Service of the Lviv OVA.
