For children – migrants organize environmental activities to preserve the natural environment
An ecological lesson with elements of a quiz and quest was held for forcibly displaced children from Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.
Representatives of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Regional State Administration and Yavoriv National Nature Park visited children who were forced to leave their homes due to the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
During the environmental lesson, the young Ukrainians were told about Roztocze, about the plants and animals of the region, how to properly sort waste and presented educational games “Ecology”, which were purchased with the funds of the ONPS fund.
Oksana Viityk, Deputy Director of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources, notes that children who came to us to escape the war have their own children’s needs, and encourages everyone who has the opportunity to share toys with them (slides, swings, scooters, skates, bicycles, etc.), because one of the greatest values is childhood, and we can make it better for these small and brave people who had to grow up so quickly.
