During the previous day, border control inspectors at checkpoints stopped nine attempts to illegally cross the border using documents with signs of forgery.
The bearers of false documents were exposed at the checkpoints “Grushiv”, “Krakivets”, “Rava-Ruska”, “Smilnytsia” and on trains going abroad. Another violator was stopped by the border guards outside the checkpoints. All the detainees turned out to be men of military age.
Seven men from Odesa, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Ternopil Oblast submitted temporary conscript certificates and military medical commission certificates for verification. During the inspection of military registration documents, the border guards discovered a number of signs indicating their forgery. Another resident of the city of Kamianets – Podilsky presented a dubious medical certificate. During the examination of the documents, the border guard also discovered an unspecified pattern of marks in the military ticket.
During the border control, the inspector found false marks for permanent residence and permanent consular registration in the Republic of Lithuania in a resident of Dnipro.
According to all the facts, the border guards informed the employees of the National Police. For the use of fakes, men face liability under Art. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Military personnel of the “Shadows” department received information about the movement of an unknown person in the direction of the state border. After carrying out a check, the response team detained a 34-year-old native of Donetsk region, who intended to illegally cross the border outside the checkpoints. Administrative documents have been filed against the man, and the case will be referred to the court in the future.
