5,000 tulips were planted at the Heavenly Hundred Memorial

Next year, tulips will bloom again in Lviv. So, today the Department of Ecology of the Lviv City Council, together with the students of the Lviv State University of Life Safety and LKP “Green Lviv” planted 5,000 tulips at the Memorial to the Heavenly Hundred.

In total, the city received more than 90,000 tulip bulbs from the Netherlands, which are planted in all districts of Lviv, on the territory of the annexed communities, as well as in educational institutions.

“Onions have been given to us by the Netherlands for the second year in a row, for which we are very grateful to Consul Emile de Sèvrein Jacquet and Yuri Petrychko.

Despite the late delivery from abroad, we have warming, so we will plant everything without any obstacles.

This year they had assistants again. We sincerely thank the management and students of the Lviv State University of Life Safety for their help with the landing.

We continue to plant the received tulips on the streets, parks and squares and look forward to spring, beauty and victory,” emphasized Oksana Lutsko, deputy head of the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the LMR.

We will remind you that last year the Netherlands gave Lviv 125,000 tulips of 10 different varieties and an additional 100,000 bulbs separately for the Stryi Park. Flowers were planted in more than 60 locations of the Lviv community: on streets, in squares, parks and affiliated communities.
