Effective Work of Rescuers in the Lviv Region
In Lviv region, over the past day, the State Emergency Service teams successfully extinguished four serious fires. These incidents spanned various areas of the region, and by noon on January 23, all fires had been completely extinguished.
Fire Statistics and Consequences
According to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region, since the beginning of the year, rescuers have responded to 199 fire situations. As a result of these fires, 5 people have died, and 6 have been injured. Thanks to the quick response to the fires, 8 individuals were saved.
Fire Safety Rules
To prevent future fires, the Main Department of the State Emergency Service emphasizes the importance of adhering to fire safety rules, including:
- Cautious handling of open flames.
- Avoiding smoking in bed.
- Monitoring the condition of electrical networks and conducting regular inspections.
- Cleaning chimneys and stoves.
- Using only appropriate fuel in stoves.
- Not leaving operating stoves and fireplaces unattended.
- Not drying clothes near heat sources.
- Prohibiting children from playing with matches.
- Turning off electrical appliances when leaving home.
