Today in Sambor, 65 technical tasks for local development projects were discussed for the Action Plan for the implementation of the Strategy with a total amount of funding of UAH 1.5 billion.
These projects were developed by the Working Group, as well as provided by interested parties during the open collection of ideas, which lasted from November 17 to December 1 of this year.
The participants of the meeting, in particular managers and active residents, familiarized themselves with the catalog of projects, the largest of which are the construction of sewage treatment plants, the reconstruction of a solid waste landfill, the overhaul of the maternity ward, the overhaul of communal roads and the reconstruction of the Western Ring Road in Sambor, – restoration works of architectural monuments, construction of a protective structure for civil protection of the “Lyceum Leader” KZ, thermo-modernization of budget institutions’ buildings, construction of a solar power plant at the station of the I lift of the Sambirsk VUVKG, application of solar energy for the needs of the KNP “Sambirsk Central Hospital” and others.
“The Sambir community has determined its priority projects for 2024-2027. The greatest attention is paid to infrastructure, health care and energy saving, because it is important to properly plan investments in development, which will contribute to the saving of budget funds, and on the other hand, to the increase of revenues to the local budget”, – emphasized the deputy director of the economic policy department of Lviv OVA Vadym Tabakera .
We would like to add that during the meeting, the following projects were additionally developed and proposed for inclusion in the Action Plan: the creation of a logistics center, the development and expansion of the newly established rehabilitation department of the Sambirska TL “Sambirska TL” rehabilitation center, the improvement of the quality of educational services, in particular with an emphasis on the study of foreign languages. The people of Sambir paid special attention to the project for the construction of a swimming pool, which will provide an opportunity to promote the health of children and the rehabilitation of veterans. Therefore, they discussed potential sources of attracting funds for the implementation of these large-scale projects, in particular, using the public-private partnership mechanism.
The agreed vision of community development deserves special attention: “Sambir community is a community of Lviv Prykarpattia at the intersection of paths and cultures, the gateway to the Boykiv region on the banks of the Dniester, a young, prosperous and comfortable community with clean air, developed traditions of craft food production, a center for students and active longevity, a center of lovers and organ music, a place of strength and spirituality, where everyone will find inspiration, beauty, their taste and possibilities.”
As a reminder, the Sambir community was included at the request of the Lviv Regional Military Administration in the list of communities that receive expert support from the USAID “HOVERLA” Project.
