Today, on the feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, the Day of Defenders of Ukraine and the 81st anniversary of the creation of the UPA, the memory of all those who gave their lives fighting for Ukraine were honored at the Lychakiv cemetery.
The families of the fallen Heroes, representatives of the city and regional authorities, in particular the mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovy, laid flowers at the graves where our defenders rest. Together with the military chaplains, they prayed a memorial prayer.
Also, this morning, Lviv stopped for a moment of silence as a sign of respect and gratitude to all defenders of Ukraine, and bells rang from the city’s churches at this time. And in the Garrison Church of the Holy Supreme Apostles Peter and Paul, a Prayer for Ukraine will be held already at 12:00.
