In Lviv, bus No. 19 of the brand “Ataman” caught fire on Mikolajchuk Street. The fire broke out at one of the bus stops this morning. All passengers and the driver immediately left the cabin.
The driver tried to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher, but the flames quickly engulfed the bus. Rescuers promptly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.
“The Ataman bus of route 19, which caught fire on St. Mykolaychuk, regularly underwent technical examination. The next one was scheduled for December 2023. There were two fire extinguishers in the bus, which the driver used before the arrival of the emergency services, but it was not possible to extinguish the flames on their own. As a result of the fire, the driver and passengers were not injured,” said the ATP-1 LC.
