In particular, on the square In Dvirtseva, near the railway station, unknown persons started pasting stickers on buses with the words “They don’t respect the military here.”
“These cases have a bad effect on the morale of all our drivers, who, I emphasize, transport a large number of people. And none of the drivers wants to go on the 29th route. I consider it a provocation, because we presented a video of this situation from surveillance cameras, and the driver suffered a fair punishment for his actions,” emphasized Serhii Klimchuk, v. at. director of LC ATP-1.
We will remind, at the weekend information was published on social networks that the driver of bus route #29 closed the door of the bus in front of a man with a disability. As the head of the city transport department, Orest Oleskiv, reported, the driver was reprimanded and the bonus for October was withdrawn.
“I talked to the driver. He did not see the man at the bus stop. He started moving, and only after that people in the cabin started shouting for him to stop, because there was a person without a limb at the stop. But the driver had already started the maneuver and was creating an accident on the road – there were several other buses in front of him. I have video from surveillance cameras,” said Orest Oleskiv.
The head of the department noted that the driver should have acted differently and calmly explained to the passengers his actions, why he could not stop the bus. Therefore, the punishment is administrative in the form of a reprimand and withdrawal of the award. At the same time, ATP-1 reported that the video from the surveillance cameras shows that the man at the bus stop was dressed in civilian clothes, so it is not entirely correct to accuse the driver of disrespecting the military in this situation.
