26 swarms (winners of regional stages) from almost all regions of Ukraine competed.
Yesterday, July 23, in Lviv, on St. Yura Hill, the solemn closing of the III All-Ukrainian stage of the children’s and youth military-patriotic game “Falcon” (“Dzhura”) took place.
The third stage of the game lasted from July 13 to 23 at the “Karpaty” tourist base of the Lviv Regional Center for Local Studies, Excursions and Tourism of School Youth.
The Center informed that the teams took part in various contests, competitions, trainings, setting up bivouacs, had training in tactical medicine, tug of war, an air rifle shooting competition, grenade throwing, a “Rescuer” master class, and competed in a tourist obstacle course.
The jury also went on a hike to Makivka mountain, visited the museum and the Tustan fortress. In addition, the intellectual quiz game “Vidun” and the competition “Camping” were held.
“The main idea of the game is a comprehensive system of educating young people from elementary to high school. A sense of patriotism, the maximum involvement of young people in various physical training skills, military skills, overcoming obstacles, survival in nature, self-joy – this game educates a person who can realize himself in life”, – noted the chief judge of the game Yevhen Nesterenko.⠀
The awards for the best grenade throwing were awarded to the “Descendants of the Cossack Glory” swarm from Khmelnytskyi region, for the quiz game “Vidun” – the “Young Cossacks” swarm from Donetsk region, for the pneumatic weapons shooting competition – the “Fiery Wolves” swarm from Kharkiv region, for overcoming the obstacle course – the “Light Guard” swarm from Lviv region, for the “Encampment” competition – the “Tustan” swarm from Lviv region (3rd place), the Chern swarm “Ratibory” from Igiv Oblast (2nd place), “Winged Warriors” swarm from Kyiv (1st place).
“At such moments, you understand that our efforts in the field of military-patriotic education are decisive. Therefore, both the management of Lviv OVA and the Department of Education are implementing and will continue to develop relevant programs and projects. In the second year of the war with Muscovy, we have visual confirmation: nothing defends the state like a nationally conscious, professional elite. At the same time, I hope that “Dzhura 2023″ will be remembered by everyone as a hospitable and well-organized event,” said the director of the Department of Education and Science of the Lviv Regional State Administration Oleg Paska.
He added that it is also symbolic that this all-Ukrainian event took place near the monument to our spiritual leader, Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyi, who personally took care of the formation of the Ukrainian elite and took care of talented youth.
The chaplains of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss”, fathers Ruslan and Andriy, handed over the flag of the 108th separate mountain assault battalion to the “Falcons” swarm from Odeschyna, and the flag of the “Edelweiss” brigade of the Lviv Regional Center of Local Studies, Excursions and Tourism of School Youth to Andriy Lisota and all the jurors. The chaplains also thanked the participants of the game for the camouflage net woven during the game.
26 swarms (winners of regional stages) from almost all regions of Ukraine competed. Children prepare for competitions throughout the year, first pass the district (city) and then the regional stages. In total, Lviv Oblast hosted more than 200 participants.
The organizer of the competition is the Lviv Regional Center of Local History, Excursions and Tourism.
