On January 2, at 11:20 a.m., the Rescue Service “101” received a report that in Lviv on the street Demnyanska, 1, on the territory of the Yuvileyny garage cooperative, in one of the garages, during cleaning in the inspection pit, an object that looked like obsolete ammunition was discovered.
According to the Central Department of the State Emergency Service in the Lviv region, an operational team was sent to the scene, whose employees identified the ammunition as an 88-mm artillery shell from World War II.
On the same day at 16:20, the pyrotechnic group of the 2nd Special Rapid Response Center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine removed and destroyed the dangerous find.
Rescuers remind that wartime ammunition, despite its size and considerable age, is extremely dangerous. You can come across them in different places.
