Classes for students of the Faculty of Medicine will be held in a blended format: some subjects will be taught online, while in-person classes will take place in Kharkiv and Drohobych. To this end, the university, with the support of the leadership of the Drohobych community, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “Drohobych City Hospital No. 1” on the development of a clinical base on the basis of this medical institution.

As part of the cooperation, practical classes, training sessions and clinical placements for students will be organised at the hospital in Drohobych. The form of study is full-time, in a blended online and offline format.

Favourable conditions are envisaged for admission to the speciality “Medicine” in 2026: applicants who score at least 141 points in each subject of the NMT may count on successful enrolment. The competitive score is calculated taking into account a regional coefficient of 1.07.

The university emphasises that studying in speciality I2 “Medicine” opens up a wide range of possible future specialisations. These include internal diseases (therapy), general practice – family medicine, infectious diseases, neurology, psychiatry, dermatovenereology, pulmonology and phthisiology, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics and traumatology, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, urology, neurosurgery, oncology, anaesthesiology, radiology, pathological anatomy and other fields.

The university stresses that students of the Faculty of Medicine receive up-to-date theoretical knowledge, undertake real clinical practice, and have opportunities for international academic mobility and further professional development. The university’s clinical bases provide access to modern equipment and training under the guidance of experienced specialists.

Particular attention is paid to the simulation centre of the Faculty of Medicine, where students practise practical skills in conditions as close to real ones as possible. This format, as conceived by the university, helps to develop clinical thinking, confidence and professional competences in future doctors.
