As part of the Lion’s Revenge initiative, Lviv City Hall purchased a pickup truck at the expense of the community and today handed it over to the 103rd separate territorial defence brigade named after Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky.
The vehicle was delivered to the brigade by Yuriy Zhukovets, a reconnaissance company commander and Hero of Ukraine.
The cost of the Toyota Hilux vehicle handed over to the brigade is almost UAH 1.2 million.
“This vehicle will greatly help our unit perform its tasks more efficiently. It will take the guys to their missions, bring them to difficult areas with provisions and BC. The vehicle is new, looks good and, I think, is in good condition, so it should serve for a long time.
It should strengthen our reconnaissance company in terms of performing tasks quite well, because a high-quality vehicle gives 50% of the efficiency of performing tasks. If the guys can drive to the landing site instead of walking there, if they can bring food and provisions there, then the likelihood that they will survive and be less tired until they start performing the actual task is very high.
That is why it is very valuable to us, and we are very grateful to the Lviv City Council for giving us this vehicle. We hope that soon enough we will be able to show a video of how it performs its work,” said Yuriy Zhukovets, commander of the reconnaissance company of the 103rd separate terrorist defence brigade named after Metropolitan Andriy Sheptytskyi, Hero of Ukraine.
