The communities of Lviv Oblast received tents for setting up heating points

250 tents for setting up heating points were received by partner communities of the USAID HOVERLA Project

As part of supporting communities in increasing their ability to respond to emergency situations, the USAID “HOVERLA” Project handed over 250 large tents to 25 partner communities in the Volyn, Lviv, and Poltava regions. They can be used to arrange heating points in communities.

“The community has increased its ability to respond to emergency situations, in particular, during long-term power outages. We plan to use the tents as heating points in locations where there are no capital structures that could be used for this purpose. Capacious, made of fire-resistant tarpaulin, they will be able to become a reliable shelter for our residents during a blackout,” commented Volodymyr Remenyak, head of Horodotsk community, Lviv region.

A number of the Project’s partner communities have already set up Points of Invincibility in their tents, using equipment provided by the Project, such as generators, starlinks, lanterns, fire extinguishers, extension cords, etc. Such equipment becomes especially necessary during a long blackout.
