The Skole community in Lviv region has received a specialised vehicle under the international project “Lelis–Skole: construction of technical infrastructure and purchase of equipment for eliminating the consequences of natural disasters”, which is being implemented with the support of the Interreg NEXT “Poland – Ukraine 2021–2027” Programme, the Lviv Regional Council reported.
The project envisages a comprehensive modernisation of the water supply system in the town of Skole. In particular, this concerns the reconstruction of the chlorination station, the construction of new clean water reservoirs and the upgrading of the water pipeline from the water intake to the disinfection site.
According to the Association “Euroregion Carpathians–Ukraine”, the new specialised vehicle is intended for rapid response to emergencies at the town’s critical infrastructure facilities — water intakes, clean water reservoirs and drinking water disinfection stations.
“The new specialised equipment will help ensure a rapid response to emergencies that may occur at the town’s critical infrastructure facilities — water intakes, clean water reservoirs and drinking water disinfection stations. Thanks to this vehicle, the community will be able to provide the population with drinking water without interruption, even in the event of emergencies,” the Association “Euroregion Carpathians–Ukraine” noted.
It is expected that the specialist vehicle will strengthen the community’s capacity to deal with the consequences of natural disasters and emergencies and will contribute to the uninterrupted supply of drinking water to Skole residents.
