The initiative “Take a House Under Your Care”, launched by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi after Russia’s attack on Lviv on 4 September, was joined by the Association of Western Ukrainian Developers, including Nova Oselya, Avalon, Greenville Group, Vash Dim, AUROOM, Globus development, Kvitka. Workshop of Houses”, KREDO development, IKON development, PRAUD, Viking Development, MARVEL Development, Well Bud, BC Quorum.
The relevant cooperation agreement was signed today, 11 November, at the Lviv City Council.
In particular, the companies will help restore the houses at 14 and 22 Bratykh Mikhnovskikh Street, where roofs and chimneys were destroyed, cracks in the facades, cracks in the internal partitions, windows and doors were smashed after the shelling on 4 September. The buildings are currently undergoing emergency repairs.
“Our business is socially responsible, so we have teamed up to help our residents overcome this disaster. We inspected many houses. In particular, those that required the fastest response. That’s why we chose two buildings on Braty Mikhnovskikh Street. The roofs are being replaced, the facades are to be restored, windows replaced, and the varied walls restored. In other words, these houses will be completely restored,” said Nazariy Berbeka, a representative of the developers and a member of the Lviv City Council.
According to Andriy Pavliv, Head of the Lviv City Council’s Investment and Projects Department, the developers agreed to support the Take a House Under Your Care initiative and fully restore the houses at their own expense.
As a reminder, on the morning of 4 September, the enemy launched a combined attack on Lviv with rockets and shaheds. The attack killed 8 people, including 1 child. Another 71 people needed medical assistance, including 10 children. A total of 189 buildings were damaged.
So on 4 September, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi launched the Take Care of a House initiative. To date, it has been joined by: Meest Group, Victoria Gardens shopping mall, Ukrainian Bible Church, inVerita, Kindgeek, Poner, MarkKwen and Ular farm, Ukrainian Development Fund charity, Young Business Club, ATB-Market, developers – Nova Oselya, Avalon, Greenville, Vash Dim, RIEL, AUROOM, VIKING development, Kvitka. House Workshop”, KREDO development, IKON development, Globus development, Marvel development, Well Bud, PRAUD development, BC KVORUM, Sean Penn’s charitable foundation in Ukraine CORE, Carlsberg, OKKO, Kormotech and Enzym Group, Lviv IT Cluster and its member companies, and the twin city of Freiburg, among others.
The “Take a House Under Your Care” campaign continues and Lviv City Council calls on Ukrainian and foreign businesses and international charities to join in and help restore the buildings destroyed by the enemy. IMPORTANT: the city does not announce a collection, but invites you to take a specific building under your care and restore it.
To join the Take Care of a House initiative, you need to contact the Investment and Projects Department of the Lviv City Council, or the Frankivsk or Zaliznychna district administrations. Companies will be told about the list of works that they can contribute to financially. This includes the restoration of roofs, facades and windows.
