572 arbitrarily installed signs and advertising structures were dismantled by the employees of the utility company “Administrative and Technical Management” during the summer of 2023.
From June 1 to August 31, 165 arbitrarily installed signs and 407 advertising structures were dismantled on the territory of the Lviv City Territorial Community. This was reported in the urban planning department of the Lviv City Council.
“Lviv was one of the first to get rid of the influx of bright signs cluttering up the city space. For this purpose, the “Procedure for placing signs” was approved, and special applications were developed for entrepreneurs, which described the basic rules for their design. Therefore, advertising must be installed in accordance with all norms and must not litter the city,” the urban planning department of the Lviv City Council emphasizes.
As explained in the communal enterprise “Administrative and Technical Management”, all 572 advertising signs and structures dismantled during the summer were illegal.
“At first, the owners of the advertising installed without permission were sent a request to legalize the sign or voluntarily dismantle it. When the entrepreneur did not do this, it was carried out – but by force – by the utility workers,” explained the KP “Administrative-Technical Management”.
