More than 5 million liters of water were sent from Lviv Oblast for residents of flooded areas

There is an urgent need for drinking water in the territories of Ukraine affected by the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP.

“Due to flooding, a mass plague of fish and animals, and contamination with chemical substances, it is extremely dangerous to use water from the sources there. When we learned about the disaster, we immediately got in touch with the Morshyn Mineral Water Plant. The company responded to our request and provided drinking water supplies to the affected regions free of charge. They also took on the logistical costs,” emphasized Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv OVA.

Lviv OVA coordinates the delivery. The cargo is received by Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv OVAs, which distribute it according to the needs of local residents.

In three weeks, IDS Ukraine, which includes the Morshinsky and Myrhorod mineral water plants, transferred more than 5 million liters of water for a total of 35 million hryvnias free of charge. And he continues to do it every day.

In addition, to solve the problem in the longer term, the company will provide people in the affected area with two mobile filtration stations. One such filter will allow you to get up to 850,000 liters of high-quality drinking water per month. In addition, the company will take care of spare cleaning elements for uninterrupted operation of mobile filters during the hot season.

“I thank the Ukrainian shareholders of IDS Ukraine, in particular Vsevolod Bilas, for the fact that you work in Ukraine, for Ukraine, and your business has a human face. I also thank the deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba, for being constantly in touch and quickly solving all technical problems, so that we can quickly deliver water to the places where it is most needed,” added the head of Lviv Oblast.

We will remind you that drinking water is regularly sent from Lviv Oblast to the regions most affected by the explosion by the occupiers of the Kakhovskaya HPP. The first trucks from the plant in Morshyn left a day after the disaster. More details at the link – https://loda.gov.ua/news/68379
