The Lopatyn community is once again in mourning – another Hero has joined the Heavenly Ukrainian Army forever.
Our fellow countryman, our dear one, Vasyl Andriyovych Shton, born on 08.02.1990, died on 19.02.2024 while performing combat missions as a result of an air strike in the village of Sadovod, Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region, the sad news was announced today by the Lopatyn City Council.
The soldier is returning to his native village of Lopatyn.
He is 34 years old forever…
The death of a young brave warrior is an irreparable loss for his family, friends and community.
In this terrible war, Ukraine is losing its best sons and daughters, and the family loses the people they love most. Vasyl has two children who are growing up and have already been orphaned – daughter Khrystyna, 3 years old, and son Denis, 1 year old.
We are aware of the high price of this victory. May the bright memory of the courageous soldier Vasyl, who gave his life for Ukraine, remain forever in the hearts of people!
