Tomorrow Lviv will say goodbye to defenders Volodymyr Soiko and Bohdan Dulyk

On Wednesday, May 15, Lviv will say goodbye to soldiers Volodymyr Soiko and Bohdan Dulyk, who defended Ukraine from Russian occupiers. Lviv City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and refrain from holding entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

In the morning, at 09:45, a prayer and farewell service will be held at the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the OCU (60 Siaivo St.).

The funeral service for the defenders Volodymyr Soiko and Bohdan Dulyk will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Ss. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will be held on Rynok Square.

Soldier Volodymyr Soiko will be buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery, and soldier Bohdan Dulyk will be buried at the Sykhiv Cemetery.

He studied at the Grono Lyceum of the Lviv City Council. He graduated from Lviv Polytechnic National University (then the Institute).

In 2015, he left his studies and voluntarily defended his homeland from Russian invaders. He served in the Military Law Enforcement Service and performed tasks in the anti-terrorist operation zone.

Upon his return, he began working as a technical support agent for international companies. In his youth, he was a ballroom dancer. He loved traveling in the mountains and was fond of running, participating in half marathons and dreaming of a marathon. According to his family, he was very kind, cheerful, decent and honest, a great patriot of his country.

From the first days of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he volunteered to defend the state. During the last period, he repelled the invaders in the ranks of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Major General Marko Bezruchko of the Reserve Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state in Donetsk region.

Volodymyr Soiko is survived by his parents, two brothers, a common-law wife and a huge family.

He studied at the secondary school №73. He received vocational education at a local school.

After graduation, he did his military service.

In peacetime, he worked at the Lviv Electric Lamp Plant Iskra Private Joint Stock Company, and more recently in the construction industry. In his spare time, he was fond of football. He was an exceptionally calm person and helped everyone who needed it.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he volunteered to defend his homeland in the military unit A4728. He performed tasks in the southern direction.

Bohdan Dulyk is survived by his wife, daughter, brother and sister.
