The winners of the competition invest credit and own funds in the modernization of existing production and the creation of new production facilities.
The comprehensive program of support and development of agriculture in the Lviv region enabled 6 agricultural producers of the Lviv region to receive long-term preferential loans in the amount of UAH 10 million for the creation of value-added production facilities and new jobs.
The winners of the competition invest credit and own funds in the modernization of existing production and the creation of new production facilities. In particular, the region plans to create:
a fish processing shop that will produce 5 types of products (fillet, steaks, soup set, herring from bighead, etc.);
a workshop for processing potatoes of our own production with the help of a complex of equipment for washing, cleaning, slicing potatoes into French fries, vacuuming products, as well as packaging potatoes in nets;
a workshop for the production of granulated feed for river fish, which will provide the fish farms of the region with the necessary feed;
3 objects for drying and storage of grain and technical crops.
The total amount of investments to be made by farmers will amount to UAH 54.8 million, including UAH 44.8 million of own funds. In general, the implementation of these investment projects will create 37 new jobs.
“Supporting and stimulating value-added businesses in grains, oilseeds, vegetables, and aquaculture/fisheries today is critical to sustaining the country’s economic front. In particular, this will help the manufacturer not to stop at the raw material production stage, but to move on to the production of finished products and create new jobs,” said Tetyana Getman, Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development.
Currently, agrarians can receive preferential loans on a reverse basis at 5% per annum in the amount of up to UAH 500,000 for a period of up to 5 years to ensure the implementation of a complex of works in agriculture.
