The Lviv Regional Judo Federation recently held its final annual meeting.
Medals of national and international competitions, new departments in sports schools and participation in large-scale regional projects – despite the war of the federation, there was something to be proud of.
This year, judokas from Lviv Oblast were among the first to join the implementation of the youth and sports management project of Lviv OVA “Sylni.Vilni” – a series of open sports lessons for forcibly displaced children. Also, during the year, the federation held 5 regional championships.
You can learn judo in 13 sports schools in the Lviv region: in Boryslav, Novoyavorivsk, Peremyshlyany, Davydov, Zolochiv, Mykolaiv, Zhovka, Chervonograd, in the Lviv sports schools “Olympia”, named after Obbarius, named after Bily. You can also learn this sport at the “Veslyarik” Specialized Children’s and Youth Sports School and the Olympic Reserve No. 2 Specialized Children’s and Youth Sports School. At the beginning of the year, a judo department was also opened at the Lviv Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery.
Judokas from the Lviv region successfully performed at national and international competitions. In particular, as part of the national team of Ukraine at the World Championship among veterans, Ihor Knysh from Lviv took 3rd place. Ilya Kravchuk and Danylo Fedoryk also won bronze medals at the European Cup among cadets.
At three championships of Ukraine, athletes from the Lviv region won 9 individual and team awards. Mykola Hrybyk and Nikita Beregulsky became champions of Ukraine among juniors, and Maksym Lutsyk among cadets.
Olha Tsymko won silver among junior girls. She also became a bronze medalist among adults. Andriy Kaminskyi and Danylo Grabovetskyi among cadets, Artem Hrychan among juniors and Mykola Hrybyk among adults also became bronze medalists. Also, among juniors and juniors, the regional national team won the 3rd overall team place at the championship of Ukraine. The winners of the adult championship were awarded by the head of the youth and sports department at the meeting with monetary rewards, which are paid within the framework of the Comprehensive program for the development of physical culture and sports of the Lviv region.
