At the same European Championships, the men’s sabre fencing team won gold.
The continental championship continues in Paris. On the first day, Natalia missed out on a medal in the individual sabre competition, losing the decisive fight with a score of 14-15. However, in the team sabre competition, Natalia Morkvych, along with Yevhenia Breus, Nadiya Dyolog and Olga Yesina, won gold. Natalia Morkvych also won bronze in foil.
At the same European Championships, the men’s sabre fencing team won gold. The winning quartet included athletes from Lviv region, Andrii Demchuk and Anton Datsko, as well as Artem Manko from Cherkasy and Dmytro Serezhenko from Mykolaiv.
Andriy Demchuk won a silver medal in sabre fencing, Anton Datsko won a bronze medal in the same discipline, and Andriy Demchuk won a bronze medal in men’s foil category A. In particular, Anton Datsko took third place in epee.
“All three athletes are representatives of the Lviv Regional Center “Invasport”, Andriy Demchuk trains under the guidance of Viktor Nikulin, Anton Datsko – Svitlana Kolesnikova, and Natalia Morkvych – Svitlana and Pylyp Kolesnikov,” said Roman Khimyak, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
