On Saturday, April 16, a 5-kilometer charity race will be held in Lviv for all those who want to, including children, to support Kherson. The purpose of the race is to raise funds to help the city, which is currently under occupation.
“Our goal is to raise funds for the purchase of medicines and food for Kherson. The city is occupied, and every day the Russian military is trying to isolate it more and more. Volunteers are thrown out and cars are confiscated, weapons are instructed, and humanitarian aid is confiscated every now and then. Shelves in pharmacies are empty. Volunteers risk their lives every day by delivering medicines to those in need, ”the organizers said.
The sporting event will take place on Saturday, April 16, in Stryj Park (entrance from Samchuk Street).
Start of the adult race for 5 km – 9:00.
Children’s races for 800 m (for children under 10 years) and 1600 m (for children aged 10 to 14 years) will start at 10:00.
Organizers of the charity race in support of Kherson – in_da_pride, ProBig club and Runday Lviv with the support of the Lviv Sports Department and the NOC of Ukraine in Lviv region.
