“HOLY BIBLE”, printed in 1919 at the University of Cambridge, was discovered by border guards together with customs officials tonight.
A 34-year-old Ukrainian woman tried to take out the publication in a Renault car through the Krakow checkpoint.
During the control, the woman chose the “green corridor” traffic lane, thereby certifying the absence of prohibited items and those that are subject to mandatory declaration.
Based on the analysis and assessment of risks, the car was sent for additional inspection. During which the surveyors, among personal belongings, discovered an Ancient Bible printed in 1919 in London.
Discovered Scriptures, which may be of cultural and historical value, were removed.
The examination is ongoing.
